2005 Winemaker's Selection Pinot Noir

The 2005 Winemaker’s Selection Pinot Noir is vibrant ruby in color, with a subtle translucence. On the nose this wine explodes with wild red cherry fruit, and early summer raspberry. Hints of spice and sandalwood float from the glass with sensuous elegance. On the palate, the wine delivers fresh, bright red fruit flavors of bing cherry, and red raspberry leading to deeper suggestions of crushed blackberry. Touches of clove, and cinnamon play on the tongue, backed with delicate and well integrated tannins and a nice lingering finish. Paired with simply prepared filet mignon, beef tar-tar, or carpaccio with shaved parmesean, one bottle might just not be enough
