2002 Rainbow Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir

The 2002 Rainbow Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir is a deep ruby color with hints of garnet beginning to show around the rim. The extended cellaring this wine has received has allowed enticing aromas of tobacco, tar, and sandalwood to integrate with black cherry and blackberry fruit. The flavors are complex and rich, revealing layers of boysenberry, blueberry, licorice, and forest floor. The 2002 Rainbow Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir is a classic example of well aged Pinot noir from the Yamhill Carlton AVA. Drink now, or cellar for a few more years. Pairs well with rosemary and garlic roast leg of lamb.
